Corona Discharge Based Treatments Of Articles

Tech ID: 20A050

Advantages:

  • No high-temperature damage and less time/energy consumption compared with heating sterilization such as autoclave.
  • Non-contact, negligible corrosion, reusable and environmentally friendly compared with chemical disinfections.
  • More efficient compared with UV radiation by several magnitudes.
  • Operator friendly, and safe to skin, food and various surfaces compared with gamma rays and x-rays.

Summary:

Current sterilization technology can only sterilize masks but cannot recharge them. Losing the electrostatic attraction effect can lead to dramatic filtration and efficiency lost. But corona discharge can sterilize and recharge masks simultaneously. One major application is that it can sterilize and recharge masks simultaneously. Compared to most other technologies utilized for mask reusing, sterilization efficiency of this invention is high. Most importantly, it recharges the masks to prevent the degradation of the electrostatic attraction effect caused by wearing or other sterilization technologies. Another major application is that it can be utilized to sterilize different kinds of surfaces and air efficiently. It is low-temperature, non-contact, negligible corrosion, reusable, environmentally friendly, efficient and user friendly compared to other sterilization techniques.
