Automated Flight Planning System for Urban Air Mobility

Tech ID: 22A121

Advantages:

  • AFPS uses advanced algorithms for airspace management and conflict resolution, ensuring safety in high-density Urban air mobility (UAM) environments.
  • AFPS enhances UAM efficiency by optimizing airspace use and generating conflict-free flight paths.
  • AFPS allows Providers of Service for UAM (PSU) to provide seamless airspace and traffic management services to multiple UAM operators, improving coordination and passenger experience.

Business Summary:

Automated Flight Planning System (AFPS) revolutionizes the Urban air mobility (UAM) industry. It empowers Providers of Service for UAM (PSU) to offer exceptional airspace and traffic management services to multiple operators. AFPS comprises two powerful components: the Low-Altitude Airspace Management System (LAMS) and the Low-Altitude Traffic Management System (LTMS). LAMS generates a highly optimized nodal network of flyable airspace, routing, and intersection information for vertiport pairs. Meanwhile, LTMS efficiently detects and resolves potential conflicts in flight operations, producing conflict-free 4D trajectories. To ensure a level playing field, this system applies the Nash Social Welfare Program (NSWP), promoting fairness among operators irrespective of their market shares and operation patterns. This Technology Streamlines operations, enhances safety and seizes the immense potential of urban air transportation with AFPS.
