Summary

The invention is a compact and modular system that can be used to treat wastes, recycle water, and recover additional resources such as energy and fertilizer nutrients. It is difficult to perform waste treatment, water recycling and resource recovery in small spaces. The invention addresses this problem using a modular package that can 1) link with other modular packages into a larger architecture to perform more functions and  2) be divided into sub packages that are smaller and more portable, then rapidly reassembled onsite. Intended application is for space (e.g., space stations, transit vehicles, surface habitats), and can also be used on ships, buildings, homes, outposts, and transient events.
