Application of the Synchronization Modulation Technique of the Na/k Pumps in Treatment of Muscle Fatigue

Tech ID: 20A119

Competitive Advantages

  • Postpones or relieves muscle fatigue
  • Could reduce recovery time in different diseases
  • Reduces ATP consumption thus increases energy for muscle contraction

Summary

Muscle fatigue is an important public health problem for large population especially for the people with occupations of athlete, soldier, and heavy-duty worker. Fatigue has been associated with decreased physical functioning and declined ability to manage routine daily activities. Muscle fatigue is mainly due to insufficient supply of ATP molecules in muscle fibers, while Na/K pumps consume large amount of ATP to build up the ionic concentration gradient across the cell membrane. This technique performs synchronization modulation of Na/K pumps utilizing especially designed oscillating electric field to synchronize the pump molecules and activate their pumping rate; this method can significantly reduce the ATP consumption thus reducing muscle fatigue.

This image illustratesthe synchronized modulation of Na/K pump molecules which activate their pumping rate which reduces the ATP consumption.
