Radio Frequency Doppler Spread Emulators

Tech ID: 17B134

Competitive Advantages

  • Compact
  • Simple design
  • Easy to control
  • Inexpensive

Summary

USF inventors developed a novel RF Domain Doppler Emulator. This new technology measures signal characteristics under frequency dispersive channel conditions for a variety of mobile and wireless applications. The emulator is compact and easy to control. The design focuses on applying the channel on its input in RF domain. Therefore, it does not require an expensive conversion of RF signal into and out of the digital domain. This novel technology has great potential to benefit the wireless and high speed communications industries.
