Combined Minimization of Intersymbol Interference and Adjacent Channel Interference

Tech ID: 17B132

Competitive Advantages

  • Compatible with legacy structures
  • Relaxes guard band requirements
  • Reduces temporal redundancy and latency
  • Improved reliability, capacity and data rate

Summary

USF researchers have developed an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM)-based signal reception algorithm that enhances communication performance by adaptively mitigating the total interference at each resource element that results due to insufficiency of costly guard resources. The method helps enable high throughput reliable communication services while increasing the number of served users. Since the method is a backward compatible client implementation, it can also be used to receive legacy communication structures that share resources with newer technologies.
