Novel Magneto-LC Resonance Technology for Real-Time Respiratory Motion Monitoring

Tech ID: 16B173

Competitive Advatanges

  • Real-time respiratory monitoring
  • More accurate and faster than existing methods
  • Monitors breathing patterns and period rhythm
  • Real-time motion monitoring

Summary

Our researchers have invented a novel respiratory monitoring device, based on a microwire coil magneto-LC resonance sensor. This sensor detects the varying position of a small magnetic field source for real-time, non-contact respiratory monitoring of a patient. When compared to existing technologies on the market, this technology has been shown to be more accurate, faster and cost-effective. Implementation of this technology will allow for easy diagnosis and monitoring of respiratory related illnesses in human patients.
